Continue from the Rue Post

Okay, just so everyone knows I am still VERY angry about the whole Rue ordeal... It seriously makes my blood boil!

And I mean seriously?! She is the cutest thing ever!


I think she is the cutest little girl! I came across a few more tweets on my search today that called her a 'black b****' and someone even used the word Nigger! To all these people out there who think Rue was white, or she SHOULDN'T be black or whatever, you can go die! It makes me very mad!



And then if you watched the movie, the whole of District 11 is dark skinned! I even think, (after reading a few things) that Suzanne Collins tried to incorporate black slavery into her story. By making District 11 dark skinned and they are one of the more 'strict' districts. Whippings, hard labor, deaths. It all connects to what our world used to be like. It's so sad that people say stuff like this.



I will leave now before I start rambling and not making ANY sense... not that I really have anyway... so I'll leave before confusing you even more! Just know that I am angry and upset and in my emotional state right now I am crying!

Rue - Hunger Games

I was looking for pictures of little Rue for my last post and I came across some of the most racist, horrible tweets I have seen in my life!







These are just some of over 50 different tweets of Rue's skin colour! I can not believe the ignorance and racism people can obtain! It makes me so mad that people would hate on Hunger Games or even the actress or the character because she is black! My favourite tweet would be this:



I just can't believe it! Now if you have read the Hunger Games, it specifically states that Rue has 'dark brown skin and hair' and yet people don't know this? I guess this is a good example for Carlie's (vinkunwildflowerqueen) post about fans. If you are such a 'big' fan of the Hunger Games, book and movie included, then why do you hate on the actress and character because of their skin colour? And if you are that big of a fan that you have read the book *insert no. of times* then why do you not know?

Some people are deceived by the fact that Katniss sees Prim in Rue. This makes everyone automatically think that Rue is going to look like Prim. They toss aside any information on what Rue actually looks like and just focuses on that one fact.

When I read the book and pictured little Rue, I took in all the information I was presented with and made the character in my head. I pictured Rue, dark skinned, dark hair and brown eyes, her height/looks and demeanor like Prim. Not everything about her!

I just thought I would share that with everyone, because I found it so outrageous and just utterly terrible! Please tell me your thoughts! Julia, you would be an amazing person for me to talk to about this!

Woah, today is a day where I don't really have anything all that interesting to say. And that doesn't come often! So, I thought, cause I have for the last for ever, I will have to make a post. So here I am. :)

Tomorrow is my cross country for school... Yay...not.... I have planned to get heaps of lollies and drinks!

I am also about 1/10 the way through the Hunger Games for the second time! I have read the first two books twice now and I plan on starting them again. For some reason I really love reading them. Each time I read them there is something new and interesting to think about. Or something different to pick up in it. It just never gets boring!

Another thing with the Hunger Games. I would like to get everyones opinions on their teams! So for example I am on team Peeta, team Clove and team Rue. For anyone who has seen the movies or read the books (if not do it NOW!), who are your favourite characters? (I love Primrose too).

So, yeah :D

Another post is shortly coming! I just found out something really sad and horrible! In the mean time, something to make you laugh!

Holiday Contemplation :D

Hey everyone! Today is the first day back at school (joy) so I can officially blog again! :D Over the period of the two week holidays I have had several things to add to a list to talk about! Most are to do with the Hunger Games as I finished reading the third and first book (again).

So, first up is... I BOUGHT TWO NEW SIMS 3 GAMES!!! Which for me is really super exciting! I love the Sims! Have since I was 5 when my cousins introduced it to me! EB Games is having a sale at the moment, a buy one get one free sale! And on Thursday I went shopping with my friends and bought Sims 3 pets and generations! I AM going to get another two games sometime this week! Probably a stuff pack and another expansion.

Secondly. I would like to just say how excited I am that Carlie, Kelly and Bianca have all met each other!! I saw the photo on Carlies blog and I died!! I was squealing and being all weird for about 5 minutes (mind you that only occurred like 10 minutes ago) I am also so very excited that Carlie and Kelly are in Singas!! I mean... seriously! Ahhh! Oh and someone tell Kelly I still want my program ;) (seriously) 

Thirdly. I know you all have twitter and everything but it wouldn't kill to post on here sometime right? So I can keep up and not feel so... outsiderish?

Fourthly. Liana... you mean, horrible person (not really) how dare you make me cry? That is so mean! Moving on! I CAN'T BELIEVE ELPHIE AND YEROS BABY HAS MY NAME *dies*

Fifthly. Today is my 55th day without twitter (yes, I have been counting) 55 days! Do you know how long that is!? A REALLY LONG TIME! I also figured the other day that from today (i'm counting down) there are 77 long days until my birthday! Which really isn't THAT far... but to far for my likings! In total, by the time I get twitter back (hopefully) my day count will be up to 132 days! Now, seriously, how LONG is that!

Now sixth. My Hunger Games rant is going to start here, so if you haven't read the book or you don't want everything about it spoiled DO NOT READ!

Okay so recently I finished reading the third book and was somewhat devastated at the end! Poor little Primrose got blown up! Now, I half blame this one Katniss because she didn't do anything to prevent it! When she agreed to be the mockingjay and negotiated her things. One of them SHOULD have been to prevent her family back in District 13 from harm! I mean, she went and asked for protection for Peeta and the other tributes captured by the Capitol but she didn't ask for Prim, her mothers or even Gales? I simply do not understand that! And Primrose means more to her then anything, Katniss took her spot in the Hunger Games for Oz sake! It aggravates me! Moving on from that.... Fennick and Annie and their baby was one of the most sweet, heart-melting things I have read! And then Fennick dies?! REALLY! I cried a lot in that book.... And last but not least... right at the end when Peeta and Katniss get together and have cute little kids *dreamy face* I loved it!  <3

Seventh. Another thing, if Bianca or anyone who hasn't read and reviewed my latest fanfiction you guys should! Just go onto my profile (TeamWicked) and it's the latest one called 10 questions! I have used everyones name so please please read it! Oh, and if someone begs my Miccy so much to review, I would love you forever!! I miss Miccy heaps... I haven't spoken to her in 55 days (I never got the chance on emails :(

Hunger Games Post 4

I saw the Hunger Games last night! I am completely blown away!! It was far better then I thought it would be and it was EPIC!! HOLY CRAP!! I am obsessed and in love with Josh Hutcherson!! He is so cute and AMAZING!! As for Liam Hemsworth (Gale), he was a lot hotter then I had planned him to be! And no matter how much I want Katniss and Peeta to be together I can't help but feel sorry for Gale!

I did cry when I saw it, three times actually! Once when Katniss volunteered as tribute for Prim and Prim was screaming out and everything, that was emotional! Then there was the part where Katniss was in the Justice Building and Prim and their mother visited! Awwww :( The last time was when little Rue passed away! Oh my that was so sad!! When she was screaming out for Katniss and I was like "Oh shit... I know what happens to you" then I started crying... I think I stopped about 10 minutes after she was surrounded by the flowers! Poor little Rue! :(

There were several parts in the book that didn't make it to the movie that would have been awesome... even though I have a massive list for that I still thought the movie was amazing and crazily awesome! :D

Hunger Games Post 3

I just finished reading the second book in the Hunger Games trilogy: Catching Fire. And might I say it was a bit sadder then the first book... As I have been reading mostly in school, I have to mask my emotions and hold my composure whilst reading, and for me thats hard. I find that when I read I get more emotional then if I were to see these things played out on screen. So I sit there reading and putting on a brave face and in my head I am crying my eyes out. For those of you who have read the book, the last line in particular I had to use amazing self control over! I held in all my emotions and just stared at the screen (I am reading it on my computer) in complete disbelief and shock-horror! I won't tell you why if you don't know, but seriously READ THE BOOK!

Now I have to go to dance and be depressed as well as so sore because I have swollen and bruised knees and excruciatingly sore muscles (everywhere).... Have a great rest of the day!!

P.S SEEING HUNGER GAMES IN 2 HOURS AND 30 MINUTES (EXACTLY) AHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!

Last Day of Term 1

So today is the last official day of term 1! And I am totally excited and super crazy, this is for several reasons... One it's the last official day of school so I am excited for the holidays and they are longer then usual so *fist pumps crazily*

 Two school is the most boring thing at the moment! They have these session things that are really stupid! We have session 1, 2 and 3 and we only have 3 different subjects, so today I have a spare, then lunch, then sport then because I am awesome I have dance rehearsals for the end of the day! (Where I can't do anything cause my knees are bruised and swollen!)




Three, I AM SEEING THE HUNGER GAMES TONIGHT!!!!!!! AHH!HHHHHHH!!!! I am really excited! I am half way through the second book today and I am so obsessed! I love Peeta!! Oh oh oh, I found out yesterday (this made me giggle for the whole day/night/morning after/now) that Katniss and Peeta's ship name is Peeniss!!! *giggles madley* Isn't that just the funniest thing?! Now I have a question for any one who has read the Hunger Games, did any of you find that Effie was really quiet similar to Galinda?! Or is that just me?!

About now I am the happiest person alive! (not really)

So I came into school this morning terrified of having to do my English oral, which I am NOT prepared for nor had I done it properly! We all come to school and sit at our meeting area, we sit for about 10 minutes and then the teacher addresses us... and having the best news possible he says that Ms Ryan's class (my class) has had some teacher issues and we have no teacher therefor doing our orals on Friday instead! And our whole entire class screamed, we all looked like dick heads but what can I say we were happy!! So now I have another 3 days to fix and practice this oral so that I may actually get a decent grade! :D

Just thought I would share the news with you all!!

Hunger Games Post 2

Last night at approximatley 10pm I finished reading the Hunger Games, book 1. And might I say, it pleased well! I loved the story (well I didn't cause it was horrible but you know) The Hunger Games are a horrible invention... not even kidding! Why in Oz's name would you think of killing 23 kids just to remind everyone of the war or whatever it was! That makes me mad... now I have to share some of my favourite parts and characters... Because that's who I am...

Character wise my favourite my Peeta, because he is just so sweet and genuine! I think he is so awesome... I really think I should just go steal him of Jules now... It would solve everything a lot easier! My next favourite would have to be Cinna, I mean how nice was he to Katniss (taking away the fact that he was making her look nice to die...). Next line up: Katniss, Rue ( :'( ) Effie (she reminds me of Glinda, weird right?), Gale, Primrose, the Prep team... and yeah thats really it! Then there is always the character you hate the least.... Cato for sure.... stupid but hole he is! And I am glad how he died.... He deserved a nice long death...

Then there are moments so, in the room building thing and they are saying good bye to their family and friends, yeah well, the part there with Prim and their mother and also with Peetas father! Then I can't remember when it was but it was a moment between Katniss and Peeta and my heart melted, it was adorable... Although any parts with Katniss and Peeta were adorable for me....

I must be off now... 30 minutes to get my English oral done before I have to be ready to present it! 500 words out of 800.... YAY!

Hunger Games

So today I started reading The Hunger Games, because I thought I would read the book before attempting to watch the movie and understand the story completely! I am currently up to chapter 8 from a day of school.

Now, I am not a normal person and I do not read books like a normal person and I don't read actual books (well I do but I don't have it yet...) I have been reading it on this site:
